Abstract

• The Central Tapanuli economy in 2017 experienced a growth of 5.24 percent, or 0.12 percent higher than in 2016, which was 5.12 percent (y-on-y).
• According to the GRDP of the business field, the business fields that experienced the highest growth rate in 2017 were Electricity and Gas Procurement, namely 16.80 percent, whereas according to expenditure GRDP, the component experiencing the highest growth rate was Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB), which was 6, 47 percent.
• According to the GRDP of the business field, the main source of economic growth in Central Tapanuli in 2017 comes from the fields of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, while according to GRDP the expenditure comes from the components of Household Consumption Expenditures (PKRT).
• According to the GRDP of the business field, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is a business field that provides the greatest role in the structure of the Central Tapanuli macro economy in 2017, reaching 46.30 percent, whereas according to expenditure GRDP is a component of Household Consumption Expenditures (PKRT), that is 68.89 percent.
• During 2015-2017, the role of PMTB in the macroeconomic structure of Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah increased from 18.16 percent to 18.20 percent and the role of components of Exports of Goods and Services also increased from 14.90 percent to 15.71 percent
• Nominally, the total value of GRDP at Current Prices in 2017 The District of Central Tapanuli is Rp. 8,555.48 billion while at the 2010 Constant Price is Rp. 6,348.24 billion
