Abstraction

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through four entrances in September 2020 reached 107 visits, an increase of 282.14 percent compared to those who came in August 2020 to reach 28 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to the same month in 2019, the number of foreign tourists in September 2020 has decreased by 99.45 percent, from 19,509 visits in September 2019 to 107 visits.
• In September 2020, foreign tourists from China were the largest visitors with 5 visits or 4.67 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in September 2020 reached an average of 31.03 percent, or an increase of 1.65 points compared to August 2020 of 29.38 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in September 2020 reached 1.60 days, or decreased by 0.04 points compared to August 2020.
• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during September 2020 reached 74,545 people, or decreased by 16.66 percent compared to August 2020 which reached 89,451 people.
• The number of (domestic) inter-island sea transport passengers departing in September 2020 was recorded at 268 people, a decrease of 76.24 percent compared to the previous month of 1,128 people.
