Abstract

The total labor force in August 2021 was 267,955 people, an increase of 6,753 people compared to August 2020.
The Labor Force Participation Rate in August 2021 was 267,955 people, an increase of 6,753 people compared to August 2020.
The August 2021 Open Unemployment Rate was 7.24 percent, down 0.3 percentage points compared to August 2020.
The working population was 186,530 people, an increase of 15,280 people compared to August 2020. Employment fields that experienced the largest percentage increase were the Service Sector (0.71 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the largest decline was the Agricultural Sector (1.17 percentage points).
There are 14,872 people (5.55 percent of the working-age population) affected by COVID-19. Consisting of unemployment due to COVID-19 (15.59 percent), Non-Working Forces due to COVID-19 (7.56 percent), temporarily not working due to COVID-19 (3.62 percent), and working residents who experienced reduced working hours due to COVID-19 (73.22 percent).
